Village Hotel Swindon

The hotel had a central location, very close to a museum and a theatre. I loved the room and its standard decor. The staff were accommodating and incredible and the design was nice.

Food and rooms at this budget hotel were very good. The room was perfect when upgraded with a 6ft bath and shower plus the fan. The location was stunning for first time visitors to Swindon. The restaurant was...  

Everyone was welcoming nice environment value for money overall had a lovely stay.

Drinks were expensive could have done with water and a fridge in room.

Fab and handy location to a palladian house.

The refurbished rooms are great, as is the gym

We were in an adjoining room, we could hear people in next room having a normal conversation. Therefore we were whispering in our room, which was a bit annoying.

quality of room served continental breakfast was dissappointing. i would imagine that the restaurant choices / quality would have been much better.

It was a very comfortable ambience, and I liked the pub and sofas, and the sofas in the reception area. There was no hurry to get you out of there, even though they were busy. It was a shame the jacuzzi was playing up when...  

Swimming pool sauna steam room bubble pool when working! Exercise classes restaurant breakfasts

When the bubble pool did not work for 2 days. Asked for extra pillows second day am and by evening still did not have them had to ring to reception and then they came straight away. Rooms were very dark for reading my daughter was reading university course work and struggled all w/end. There was no section saying mother and daughter so put as a young couple which I am not ok but was not friends family so maybe modify your options box.

Comfortable stay with a few downsides

I enjoyed my stay, especially the comfortable bed and spacious room, perfect for a family like ours. The availability of a pool and nearby entertainment options like a cinema were definite highlights. The dining options were a bit underwhelming. Improvements to the quality of meals would enhance the overall experience.

The room, although very tasteful was dark. Even with lights on toapply make up or blow dry hair was tricky in poor light.

Great times will defo be back

We really enjoyed the nearby countryside and the spa facilities. Made for a perfect group escape. The gym was well-kept, and checking in was easy. Nice to find the beds super comfy, too!

We encountered some noise from the bar area that started too early in the morning, made our stay a bit less relaxing.

Our stay was very enjoyable and we would certainly recommend the hotel to family and friends
